Tor Hildyard
I have recently gained an MA in Printmaking at UCA, Maidstone, where I had worked, both as tutor and printmaking technician until 2003, after finishing my degree in 1996. I also worked as a tutor in Adult Education for ten years, and now I run my own private printmaking courses from my studio in Kent.
I exhibit my work, both Nationally and Internationally, and has been involved in a number of charity events, including ‘Cow Parade’, a public arts event that took place all over London to raise money for Child Line, painting ‘The Ritz cow’ for the Ritz Hotel, and ‘Essential British Kit’, for Hacketts. I also submit postcards to ‘Secrets’ at the RCA, a yearly event that raises money for student bursaries.
My subject matter is drawn from my imagination and from life, and in addition to my studies of animals and humans, I also produce prints depicting quirky humour in everyday life.
