Downland Art Society, based in Walberton near Arundel West Sussex U.K was founded in 1944. Downland Art Society has become one of the most popular Art Societies in West Sussex, holding two exhibitions each year displaying work by our very talented members.

About Our meetings: On the first Saturday of each month (except August) we hold a meeting at which our members can enjoy demonstrations and talks by other demonstrators and professional artists.rnrnWe also welcome visitors to come for a nomial fee of £2.50 payable on the day, including tea and biscuits during the interval.rnrnAll of our meetings are held at the Walberton Village Sports Pavilion, Walberton near Arundel West Sussex, and start at 2.pm.
About our Membership : Downland Art Society is an open Society, in that anyone can apply to join.
How to Join: To join Downland Art Society, just come along to one of our monthly meetings. You can if you wish bring with you three framed original paintings of your work. Framed samples of work will be evaluated by the visiting professional on the day, and if deemed to be of suitable, Full membership will be granted there and then.
Topics Covered: We cover most topics from landscapes to marine scenes and portraits.

Been a member of Downland for about 11 years... a great Art Society with good meetings and well attened exhibitions. Very friendly bunch of people!
